Episode 6: The Uses of Greek Myth, Pt. 1

This episode brings us to big questions. Can we define Greek myth? Is there something that makes a myth a myth and not something else? In order to answer these questions, we’ve brought along some other scholars to help us think about the nature and uses of Greek myth. This is the second in our series, “What Greek Myth Is…and Is Not,” where we ask, and try to answer, some of the fundamental questions about the stories the Greeks and Romans told about their mythical storyworld. Many thanks to our special guests, Professors Greta Hawes (Australian National University, co-founder of MANTO) and Stephen Trzaskoma (University of New Hampshire), for pitching in to help us think about myth.
