Episode 10: Centaurs!

In the last episode of our season “What Greek Myth Is…and Is Not” we focus on one of the most enduring mythological beings from the ancient world, the half-human, half-horse creatures known as Centaurs. We interview Emma Aston, Professor at the University of Reading, who works on Centaurs and their role in the identity-formation of Thessaly, a northern region of ancient Greece. Professor Greta Hawes reads her favorite passage from the medical writer Galen, who tries to imagine life…as a Centaur! Join us for this last foray into Greek myth in 2020.
